In the evening at the Castle we serve our full menu, complemented by several special dishes. Prices range from £7.95 up to £15.95. Below you’ll find a typical Castle Inn evening menu.
Starters
- Soup of the day
- Crayfish and avocado salad
- Deep fried brie, Cumberland sauce and red onion marmalade
- Mezze platter
- Moules marinere served with French bread
- Chicken satay with Indonesian style salad
- Tomato, mozzarella and avocado salad with pesto dressing
Mains
- Risotto of tuna, roast baby beetroot, buffalo mozzarella and mâche
- Thai red chicken curry, pickled cucumber, beansprouts and coconut rice
- Steak and kidney pie with new potatoes and vegetables
- Supreme of chicken saltimbocca served with sautéed potatoes and runner beans
- Cumberland sausage and mash with onion gravy
- Piri-piri sirloin steak with roasted courgettes, peppers, onions and tortilla
- Salt and pepper squid on Asian greens with black roe and prawn oil
- Herb crusted ocean snapper with chargrilled courgettes, confit garlic, taramasalata and salmon roe
- Confit of duck legs, bubble and squeak, roast smoked garlic and sage jus

- Pear frangipane tart with almond praline and clotted cream
- Chocolate pudding with nutmeg and ginger parfait
- Chilled plum and ginger soup with lemon sorbet
